ThriveWire repurposes gently used information technology equipment in support of
youth and young adults facing homelessness, trauma and family disruption.

Access to a computer and other IT equipment is critical for functioning in society today. Children and young adults experiencing the challenge of homelessness, trauma or family disruption are particularly disadvantaged in applying for jobs, doing homework and accomplishing daily tasks like banking.

ThriveWire was formed to repurpose lightly used laptops and other IT equipment for young people in need, and the agencies that serve them. ThriveWire accepts donated computers and other equipment from corporations in the process of routine updates for their employees. The memory on the equipment received is wiped clean and reloaded with a functioning operating system.

ThriveWire partners with existing social service agencies such as youth homeless programs, youth group homes and other similar non-profits to identify appropriate candidates for free laptops or other needed IT equipment
